Privacy
The atlas itself sets no cookies, loads no third-party scripts or fonts, and stores your fieldnotes and journey progress only in this browser. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, whose cookieless Web Analytics counts page views in aggregate, and whose bot protection may run a short check script.
Status and corrections
Edition 1, built on Glottolog 5.3, last revised 5 November 2026. The atlas has not yet been reviewed independently by specialists in linguistics, nor by the communities whose languages appear here. It reuses published classification data and contains no recordings, images or cultural knowledge collected from those communities. Names follow Glottolog unless a community’s own name is shown; the catalogue name always remains visible. Language communities hold authority over how they are named and represented. Corrections are welcome at david@thast.se.
